General Overview
There are two layers to Languinis gameplay.
The first is the swipe and match gameplay where the goal is to match three or more Tiles of the same color.
Matching Tiles will uncover Letter Tiles, which are used to make words and score points.
Each level will have various objectives to complete.
What are special matches?
Matching more than three Tiles of the same color grants special bonuses.
- Stream Tile - Match four Tiles of the same color and they will turn into a Stream Tile. A Stream Tile will clear an entire row of Tiles when it is matched.
- Crystal- Match five Tiles of the same color in a straight line and they will turn into a Crystal. When a Crystal is matched with any color Tile, all Tiles of that color will be destroyed.
- Bomb Tile - Matching five Tiles in a T or L shape will create a Bomb Tile. When a Bomb is matched, it will explode and clear all of the surrounding Tiles.
How do I complete a level?
Each level will have differing objectives that need to be achieved before completing a level.
Example objectives:
- Match 30 blue Tiles
- Create five words that begin with T
- Create three words that contain six letters or more
- Free the captured Languini
Some levels may only have one objective to complete but others may have a series of objectives.
What are lives?
You begin the game with five lives. If you fail to complete a level, you will lose a life You regain a missing life every 30 minutes. If you don't like waiting, you can recharge your lives for Gold or you can ask your Facebook friends to send extra lives.
Tile Matching Scores
Depending on what combinations you match, your score will vary.
- Match 3- 100 points per tile
- Match 4 - 200 per tile
- Match 5 - 500 per tile
- Stream Tile activation - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Bomb activation- 540
- Crystal activation - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Double Stream Tile combo - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Stream + Bomb combo - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Double Bomb combo - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Stream + Crystal combo- 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Bomb + Crystal combo - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Double Crystal combo - 60 x the number of tiles destroyed
- Blocker- 100
Each combo will also award the score for the Tiles it removes upon activation.
The above scores represent the bonus received by activating the special Tile.
